Regional councillor Elena Palazzo a guest at the Campoverde Agricultural Show. On 29 April, the Lazio Region's delegate for the Environment, Sustainability and Tourism stopped by the Aprilia exhibition centre to visit the 37th edition of the event, which ended yesterday.
During the day, he was able to see the various activities at the exhibition, visiting in particular the stand of Retina Holding srl, a company specialising in the production of biomethane plants. Together with the regional councillor Vittorio Sambucci, the councillor for Agriculture of the Municipality of Aprilia Carola Latini, the president of the Aprilia City Council Salvatore Lax, and the president of the Tre M company Cecilia Nicita (organiser of the event), the regional councillor Palazzo was welcomed by Dr. Franco Torra, president of Retina Holding srl, and spent more than 30 minutes there. Dr. Torra enthusiastically shared the company's projects oriented towards circular economy and environmental and economic sustainability. A project that, through the production of biomethane plants, intends to transform livestock manure and by-products of agricultural processing into clean energy, contributing to national needs, reducing the emission of greenhouse gases into the environment and nitrates into the water table, and reducing the emission of CO2 into the atmosphere.

The visit of the regional councillor for the environment and tourism continued in the other stands. During the day, there was also talk of setting up a pavilion dedicated to regional products, which concretely represent the intersection between entrepreneurship, the environment, and tourism: the three macro themes around which the meeting developed. 'The agricultural entrepreneurship of the Agro pontino and especially that of Aprilia,' said councillor Carola Latini, 'deserves better relevance on the Italian scene. Many of the activities in our area have distinguished themselves in Europe and around the world: at the same time, they have not always been able to express their value close to home. As administrators, we are called upon to give a concrete response: these types of appointments are preparatory to creating something tangible and ready to be discussed and improved alongside entrepreneurs and businesswomen, who can now count on two dedicated calls for proposals from the Lazio Region'.
Words shared by the president of the Aprilia City Council, Salvatore Lax. "For our city," adds Lax, "the Campoverde fair represents an important showcase to foster awareness of the excellence that our territory has to offer. In synergy with the Lazio Region, we will have the opportunity to develop a chain of promotion of our and other regional realities in the agricultural and food and wine sectors, but also in the development of tourist routes linked to local production activities'.
